“The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said.” Peter Drucker

How do you hear what isn’t said? And how do you communicate what you want, to ensure people aren’t hearing something you don’t mean? Effective communication is about more than just the words you say. In fact, words account for only about 7% of the message received. Verbal cues like tone, pitch and energy level, and body language, such as leaning back or crossed arms, communicate a whopping 93% of your message. How do you make sure you get it all right?

Join us on Tues. April 20 for the Skills for Leaders Peer Group discussion on Effective Communication where we will:

  • discuss what makes effective communication work,
  • understand a communication and behavioural style model to help you communicate more effectively with anyone.

Come prepared to share, learn and plan how you can communicate more effectively with your teams, management, and colleagues. Maybe even your significant other!
