Competition is what drives businesses to develop innovative products, increase the quality of their offerings, and improve affordability for consumers. Historically, that has been the Competition Bureau’s focus. Now however, with the advent of COVID-19, we must also consider how competition can play a strategic role in Canada’s economic recovery. The need for a strong focus on competition, and on the well-being of Canada’s small- and medium-sized businesses is even more striking as we navigate this global crisis.

Join Canadian Club Toronto on November 25 to hear Canada’s Commissioner of Competition, Matthew Boswell, talk about the Bureau’s role in safeguarding competition, and advocating for procompetitive regulation in the context of a global pandemic. After his remarks, Mr. Boswell will sit down with Christine Dobby (The Globe and Mail) for a fireside chat.
