Goal 2: Zero Hunger - United Nations Sustainable Development

We always have small meals available free of charge for staff and students at our snack table. We also plan to organize food drives to make donations to Vaughan’s local Food Banks.

Health - United Nations Sustainable Development

We have implemented mask mandates and set up sterilizing stations throughout the center, actively promoting social distancing during our services and we will continue to do so should another health crisis emerge.

Many of our educational programs include lessons in health for hair care, nutrition, hygiene, self-care, and the care for the environment to promote overall well-being.

Education - United Nations Sustainable Development

As a registered college, quality education is our stock and trade. We provide professional training and education in hair styling, computer maintenance and repair, and medical aesthetics. We offer an Ontario Government approved course-curriculum that has been carefully and intentionally compiled to ensure students receive the best in comprehensive education and training. Our courses include informative theory and practical training with a low student to teacher ratio.

United Nations: Gender equality and women's empowerment

Within our college, we offer opportunities for women to hold high-ranking positions, fostering gender inclusivity and recognizing their valuable contributions. Our hiring and enrollment policies prohibit any gender discrimination.  Our current gender composition of males and females in staff and students is equally represented at 50-50.

Water and Sanitation - United Nations Sustainable Development

We not only offer free, clean drinking water for our staff and students but also provide convenient access through numerous drinking fountains and refilling stations located throughout our college.

Regularly scheduled inspections of our washroom and kitchen facilities ensure continuous cleanliness and hygiene throughout the college.

To uphold water quality, regular testing procedures are in place, underscoring our commitment to maintaining high standards.

Affordable and Clean Energy - Wellesley Institute

As part of our corporate commitment to achieving carbon neutrality, we are transitioning to energy-efficient lighting and implementing light sensors throughout our facilities.

To minimize energy consumption, our facilities are fully automated, incorporating light and movement sensors to prevent unnecessary usage.

In line with our sustainability goals, we have installed double-paned windows and double access doors to conserve energy throughout our premises.

Goal 8 | Department of Economic and Social Affairs

We encourage all residents of Vaughan to study at our college to empower everyone to secure decent work and meaningful employment. Our educational programs are professional in nature thereby arming Vaughan students to seek work in the hair styling, computer support technician, and medical aesthetic sectors within our community.

We help guide all of our students on how to present themselves to approach potential companies for a new job placement. Our course material will provide each of our graduates with the principles of the trade and a strategic edge over the candidates who are applying for the same opportunity.
