Vaughan is home to three state-of-the-art training centres operated by the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades Inc. (CCAT) and Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) Local 183, delivering the most comprehensive training programs that are meant to simulate a true construction setting. These centres work to support the industries growing labor needs and support construction projects across the province and country.
In addition to these training centres, Vaughan is also home to 15 technical and trades schools. These schools offer training programs in a variety of fields such as beauty and cosmetology, electrical, plumbing, drywall acoustic mechanic and lather, logistics.
Seventy-three per cent of Vaughan’s population over 25 has a post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree – surpassing both the provincial (68 per cent) and national (67 per cent) average. Vaughan’s location lets you tap into:
