Talent City Vaughan is a first-of-its-kind municipal workforce development initiative that supports purpose-driven training initiatives across Vaughan. The 2025 cohort of grant recipients offers a host of in-demand training programs for Vaughan residents and employees of Vaughan-based businesses – like CVBSA Vaughan Vikings Coach and Umpire Training!

The Program

The City of Vaughan Baseball and Softball Association (CVBSA) – Vaughan Vikings is delivering an advanced training program for coaches and umpires, supported by Talent City Vaughan funding. Building on foundational certifications from the National Coach Certification Program and Umpire Education, the program equips participants with enhanced technical skills, leadership abilities, and professionalism, preparing them for roles in Representative, Select, and House League programs. With nearly 25 years of experience developing “The Vikings Way,” CVBSA has trained thousands of local leaders in baseball and softball, fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence that has earned the Vaughan brand recognition for integrity and quality across the province.
