About Shadowpath Theatre

Shadowpath is York Region’s professional theatre company, creating innovative theatre in everyday spaces for suburban audiences. Founded in 2002, Shadowpath is a charitable arts organization that has been offering workshops since 2010 and an apprenticeship program since 2016. Shadowpath creates paid opportunities for professional arts and culture workers while connecting communities through original, creative experiences. Shadowpath engages emerging theatre practitioners in hands-on professional theatre experiences, as well as multidisciplinary arts development. Building skills in performance, creation, production and arts entrepreneurship is a key focus.

The Program: Creative Entrepreneurship Training

Shadow Path Theatre’s Creative Entrepreneurship Training teaches artists how to produce and run their own creative work: producing art events and theatre, finding funding, using digital tools, and marketing and outreach. The program provides a practical, hands-on experience with built-in mentorship to help participants develop transferable creative and professional skills, build industry connections and identify viable career pathways within Vaughan’s growing creative economy.
