Summer Company
Are you a student 15 to 29 years old and want to start and operate a full-time business over the summer? Access mentorship from Vaughan’s business community, tools, services and workshops to make your goals a reality. This is your opportunity to get up to $3,000 in provincial grant funding to kick-start your business. Apply now to the Summer Company program that prepares young entrepreneurs with a pipeline of tools, skills, connections and resources required to succeed.
You could be eligible if you:
- go to high school, college or university in Vaughan
- live in Vaughan
- are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- are between 15-29 years old (if under 18: a parent or guardian must sign the agreement for the applicant)
- are not already running a business
- are not working at another job or going to school for more than 12 hours a week during the program
- are returning to school after the program ends
You cannot apply again if you have received a Summer Company grant in the past.

Fill out the eligibility checklist and select Vaughan as your service provider to get started. Applications for 2024 Summer Company program are now open and close Monday, April 15, 2024.
FILL OUT ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST AND SELECT VAUGHAN AS YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER TO GET STARTED
In partnership with local community organizations such as the Vaughan Public Libraries, Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre is co-hosting a series of Summer Company Information sessions. Through the information sessions, attendees will learn more about the program eligibility, application process, program requirements, and how to write a business plan.
Register for upcoming information session:
- Tuesday, February 6, 2024, virtual, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, February 29, 2024, in-person, on the 2nd floor, Civic Centre Resource Library, 2191 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Vaughan, ON, L6A 4W2 and virtual, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 19, 2024, virtual, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
