The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is the largest and most ambitious development project in the City of Vaughan’s history – and the downtown core is transforming quickly. With rapid growth, increased interest in residential developments, an expanding workforce and growing visitor and commuter numbers, the City has initiated an update to the existing VMC Secondary Plan – and you’re invited to have your say! In 2020, the City kicked off an update to the plan by collecting public feedback on the issues, strengths and opportunities in the area. Now, as the plan progresses, you are once again invited to get involved by attending a live virtual Community Meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 p.m. Attendees will be presented with two land use options that have been developed through the ideas shared during Phase 1 of the study. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask the project team and consultants questions about what was presented and what the next steps of the project will be.
