Talent City Vaughan

Talent City Vaughan is a new program offering financial support to external organizations that provide Vaughan residents with training opportunities.


The program helps residents and Vaughan-based businesses’ access and undertake opportunities to enhance workforce skills. Talent City Vaughan provides micro-grants of up to $10,000 for eligible non-profit community and social service organizations delivering skills development and training to Vaughan talent. Proposed programs must provide job seekers or existing employees with new skills and training that either help to secure gainful employment or maintain or advance employment with a current employer. Programs can be offered in-person, virtually or via a hybrid model but must comply with current provincial health guidelines.

Professional training to work as an interpreter in the business, healthcare, legal, and medical sector and to operate as a freelance interpreter.

Providing workplace skills training in bookkeeping, accounting, communication, email etiquette, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Humanity First | Lend a Hand, Learn a Skill

Professional development skills training for volunteers in warehouse management, customer/client service, and Microsoft Excel.

Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club | Youth Coach Development Program

Training to provide youth access to seasonal employment opportunities as community soccer coaches.

Training is already underway.

Memory Loss Foundation | Understanding Dementia & Montessori Approach for Dementia

Training for Personal Support Workers, Dietary Aid Workers, and Program Aid Workers on how to manage and care for individuals with dementia.

The Career Foundation | Furniture Manufacturing

Partnering with Vaughan-based furniture manufacturer, furniture upholstery training will be provided.

Training dates will be confirmed shortly.

Vaughan International Film Festival | Post-Production Workshops

4 workshop sessions, focusing on the different stages of film/video post-production: colour science, VFX, sound mixing, and video editing.

VFF Workshop sessions are anticipated to begin every Sunday in September for more information please email education@vaughanfilmfestival.com.
